COURSE OBJECTIVE
The course will include both theory and practical application of Advanced Strategic Management (ASM) in organizations. ASM is the study of H O W firms will make a statement of vision and mission strategy, establishe a long term objectives, generate, evaluate and select strategies, perform internal/external audit mechanisms, implement managerial and operational strategies, review and control their strategies and create leadership strategy.
It is a field of systematic study that focuses on improving strategy at the four stages: 1)strategic overview 2) competitive advantage 3)formulating strategies 4)implementing strategy
On completion of this course a student should be able to integrate advanced strategic topics in the overall strategic analysis of the environment and firm, develop a flexible strategy to take into consideration the evolving nature of the businessand align the strategy with the organizational culture and leadership.
