This course introduces the students to the concept of error in language learning. It also covers the following topics: error vs. mistake , significance of errors, attitudes towards errors, sources of errors, the process of analyzing errors, inter-language, and types of errors (inter-lingual , intra-lingual, developmental , and teacher-induced errors).

COURSE OBJECTIVE
•correct and appropriate use of language in a variety of specific contexts
•heightened language awareness (i.e. students should be able to work independently on improving their linguistic competence and should develop an awareness of changes in language)
•to prepare students for the correction and assessment of learners\\\' work (tries to cater for the needs of future EFL teachers
