COURSE OBJECTIVE
Building on a wireless communication and a computer networks course, this particular course aims at providing a framework for practical wireless networking by fitting it theoretically in the O.S.I. Model. Modern-day systems, concepts and standards are analysed in order to provide an applicable knowledge base.

Wireless transmission (physical layer), wireless media access (link layer), telecommunication systems (such as GSM/GPRS, DECT, TETRA, UMTS and IMT-2000), wireless LANs (IEEE 802.11, Bluetooth), mobile network layer (mobile IP, DHCP), mobile transport layer (TCP over wireless), mobile application support and wireless programming.
