Financial institutions through capital markets channel trillions of dollars through the economy, affecting business, government, and consumer decisions. Course topics will include the determination of asset prices; equity & debt financings, financial derivatives, valuation methodologies that are typically used by investment bankers, mergers & acquisitions. Special focus will be given to latest global financial crisis from the perspective of regulation of the investment banking industry and its post-crisis transformation.

COURSE OBJECTIVE
To ensure that students gain the basic knowledge of investment banking industry and gain the very basic analytical functions performed by investment bankers in valuation process.
