This course offers an introduction to the history, theory, and construction of basic structural system. It emphasizes basic systematic and elemental behavior, principles of structural behavior, and analysis of individual structural elements and strategies for load carrying.

COURSE OBJECTIVE
This course introduces the types of important building elements and the technologies used for constructing these elements.
The function of building elements also will be introduced in this course in order to prepare the students for other courses where they will have to use such knowledge.
This course also introduces different solutions for construction systems and roof constructions.
